Cut to the
client's measure.
Z FEMME, LLC is a design atelier headquartered in Charlotte, North Carolina — interior, industrial, graphic and fashion design, drafted to spec like a pattern drafted to measure.
Four patterns,
one atelier.
Every design task the atelier takes sits under one of four recorded disciplines.
Interior design & decorating
Interior design consulting, decorating services and event decoration — space tailored to the client, not the catalog.
PC·02 — IndustrialIndustrial design
Automobile, furniture, hand-tool, tool and packaging design — objects drafted for manufacture, not just sketched.
PC·03 — GraphicGraphic & commercial art
Logo and corporate identity, commercial illustration, medical art, silk-screen design and visual communication.
PC·04 — FashionFashion & product design
Clothing, costume, float, fur, jewelry, lighting, shoe and textile design — product work across eight disciplines.
What the atelier
drafts up.
Z FEMME, LLC designs to measure — and the deliverable is a pattern, not a mood. Concept, draft, spec and sign-off: every commission produces a document the client can cut from, not just admire.
The Charlotte atelier runs four disciplines: interior design and decorating for spaces; industrial design for manufactured objects; graphic and commercial art for images and identities; and fashion and product design across clothing, costume, float, fur, jewelry, lighting, shoe and textile work.
The practice's rule is that design is tailored work — a drawing drafted to the client's measure, a spec a maker can cut from. Work that isn't drafted to measure is just fabric with aspirations.
"A design isn't done when it drapes well — it's done when the pattern says someone else can cut it."

the pattern.
Three commitments marked on every commission.
Measured brief
Every commission starts with a signed brief — scope, deliverables, rounds and fees on file before the first draft.
Drafted spec
Drawings with dimensions, palettes with codes, specs a maker can cut from — the file is the design, not the mood.
Fitted sign-off
Deliverables close on the client's written approval — a design isn't done until the file records the fit.
The pattern,
cut to your measure.
Describe the project, the deliverable and the deadline — the atelier responds with a written brief.
